STATEMENT

My work is inspired by the distinction between that which is largely considered “human” and “natural,” criticizing separatist notions of man vs. nature and exploring the categorical ambiguity of material that has been touched and refined by the human hand.

BIO

Jenn Egelfeld (b. 1995) is a multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Columbus, OH whose primary focuses range from woodworking to paper making to artist books. Jenn is the recipient of the Ann Kirn Award and Bess H. Ward Award from Florida State University, where she holds a BFA in Studio Art.
